Okay, okay, I know it's been a long time since I last wrote. Sorry! Sometimes I feel like I am living the movie "Groundhog's Day" and I don't know what is worth writing about! So I'll start with a simple update and see where that takes us...
Ben is now enrolled in a Tax Preparation class that meets for 3 hrs twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Throw Mutual between those two and I don't see my hubby for half the week! It's all for a good cause, though, so I can content myself with that fact. (It just means I have to enjoy new episodes of House by myself :)) Ben and I hope that, should he be let go from Weyerhaeuser like so many others, the skills and certification from this course will provide something he can fall back on. In truth, he feels he would better enjoy a career along that line...I think an ideal of his is still being a financial analyst or consultant. He loves strategizing with funds while throwing various investment options into the mix.
As for my employment, well, who knows... it's the usual domestic duty. I recently talked with an HR manager at Macys and she said she would keep me in mind for any stray "divisional" shifts; I guess my limited availability really puts the hamper on anything. Life is full of trade-offs, and not necessarily bad ones. My free time will be well spent when the girls and I have an all-expenses paid, two week vacation to my parents house in the Florida panhandle. We are so looking forward to catching up with family we haven't seen in a while. I just hope there won't be any change in plans due to the many storms of the season. We shall see.
Anna is growing up so fast. It seems like her little face has matured overnight! She is so pretty and intelligent! She is being a fairly good big sister, too. We have our little sibling rivalry skirmishes here and there. Over all, though, she loves to sing good morning greetings to Sabrina, to "keep Sabrina safe from the pirates", and make her laugh by giving her kisses and hugs. Anna is also making headway being a big girl who uses the potty. She's getting to the point where she does her business all by herself. Day and night she is constantly observing, talking and bouncing around like a loose bee bee. She is such a diva, too! My goodness, whoever said parents could wait til their kids reached adolescence to experience the trauma of mood swings was sadly misinformed. Anna is 3 going on 13! Her will is unyielding until met with threats of restricted freedom and sugar. I thank the heavens that she doesn't know all the words the world has to offer for expressing extreme anger. It's a good challenge to keep up with her...sometimes in the "this is good, bad-tasting medicine" sense;)
Sabrina is nearly a constant delight. She smiles almost all day long! She loves to laugh and squawk and follow her mommy and big sister around! I used to call her my little love bug but she is so FAT now that it fits sentiment, only. I've been trying out the nickname "my-little-dumpling". Suggestions welcome. Somehow won-ton doesn't seem to work.... What about Polska? If that weren't the name of a sausage it could pass as a real Scandinavian name for a girl. I dunno...What I do know is that she is so cheerful, tolerant, and patient. She doesn't even freak out much from teething. Sabrina is an amazing example to us all. We are so blessed to have her. (Don't read too much into the fact that I didn't say that about Anna...sometimes it just takes a little more effort to appreciate a very strong personality;))
Anyway, there is our life in a nutshell! So much for "simple" update, huh? Good day to you all! Ta-ta...

Thanks for the update! It was great to hear how you guys are doing. I can totally understand about Anna. It sounds like her and Brynnan would get along great!!
Now all you have to do is put up some recent pictures! LOL I'd love to see how big Sabrina is getting! How old is she now? I can barely keep track of how old my own kids are let alone all of my friends'!
Well, anyway, it was good to hear from you:)
My favorite nickname of the choices is "little dumpling". I love both your girls and their unique personalities!
