On Sunday, July the 20th, Anna celebrated her 3rd birthday!!! Right now I don't have adequate photo representation (darn cameras that die mid-party!), but I thought I would go ahead and share already. The day before her birthday we had a little party out in the community gazebo. Anna helped me make purple cupcakes --they had to be her favorite color--and I got to buy a fun cupcake tree (as I call it) to put them in! We decorated the gazebo with purple and white streamers, pink balloons, and thanks to a lady in our ward who works for Hallmark, we had princess themed you-name-it: plates, cups, favor bags, confetti, birthday banner, plastic table cloth, etc. Ben's mom contributed a well stuffed pig pinata per Anna's request; all the kids loved whacking away at it. We shared all of this with a small gathering of friends and, in true redneck fashion, enjoyed our cupcakes with a gallon of milk that I brought straight from the kitchen ;) Even though I told our guests they didn't have to bring anything, Anna recieved cute little baubles anyway. Thanks to our buddies for being so sweet! It was a fun time for all! And although it has officially passed, Anna continues to feel celebrated thanks to Grandma and Grandpa's giving her a singing Dora card. They must have extra durable batteries in those thuings... ;)
