A Series of Unfortunate Events

The past three days have been tough! The girls and I have suffered many battle wounds simply from coexisting with each other! In quick succession, Anna rolled the side of her head into a sharp corner of the entertainment center and Sabrina slammed her brow on the edgeof the coffee table. Bruises were made. Later, I was playfully trying to get a grumpy, tantrum-throwing Anna to get up off the floor from her tightly wound sitting position when she abruptly tried to buck me off resulting in the top of her head slamming into my eyebrow region. The room was instantly filled with howls of pain and half muttered expletives. This morning started out pleasantly enough...until Sabrina insisted I hold her in my lap. I thought nothing of it and let her ogle the cell phone for a bit. Fine, right? It WAS until, in a burst of excitement, Sabrina launched her arm backwards, cell phone in hand, and sent it crashing into my mouth! Now I have a throbbing, busted lip and it's not even 9:00am. I'm afraid to live out the rest of the day! What is going on here?!?! I think I need a fall-out bunker from my own family! Well...off I go to change Sabrina's poopy diaper...wish me luck. Let's hope she hasn't developed a monkey's habit and a good pitching arm. By now I think anything is possible.

Ooohhh, Meems, I'm sorry you're having so many bumps and bruises between the 3 of you! That sucks. I hope your luck starts getting better!

I can imagine how you feel. We have days like that too where everything you do seems to result in someone being hurt. I feel like a horrible parent sometimes because there have been days where it seems like Cameron has hurt himself on half the things in the house, and often times I have been hurt by him too! I hope your days get better!

Its crazy what kids do to themselves sometimes! Getting mad and getting hurt, or hurting Mom! But kids bounce back so well! It must be in their design! Heavenly Father must know all about our little ones!
